DENTAL
Dental and vision plans are usually bundled together with health plans but we do have some stand alone options.
Dental Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) Insurance Plans
This type of insurance plan uses a group of dentists who are part of a network. Each dentist in the network offers discounts to clients who are part of the same insurance company.
With this type of dental insurance, you can see dentists outside the accepted network, but it will often cost you a lot more to do so.
Dental Health Maintenance Organization (DHMO) Insurance Plans
This type of dental insurance also has a group of dentists who are part of a network. However, these dentists offer a discount to clients who are part of the same insurance company because the insurance company offers them a prepayment.
In general, if you rely on family dental DHMO or individual dental DHMO plans, you can only go to dentists in the network. If you do not, you get no dental coverage.

Discount Dental Plan
You pay a yearly fee to be a part of the discount plan, and in return, the plan negotiates a more affordable price for you when you visit the dentist.
The price for an individual for discount plans is usually around $100 per year. The cost, on the other hand, for insurance, can be as much as $35 per month for an individual. Not only that, but the insurance plan will most likely have yearly limits.
If you are going to have to pay all or a portion of the premiums for dental insurance, a discount plan might be a more affordable option.
VISION
Vision plans are discount plans that give users access to opticians who are part of a network. The rates are heavily discounted and members usually get an annual eye exam and deep discounts on lenses, frames and contact lenses.
